The collaboration rampage between high-end designers and mass retailers show no stopping, and frankly, we don’t really mind. For nothing sounds sweeter than seeing our favorite designers get creative for the masses, we’re welcoming another A-list designer to this growing roster.
Celebrated for how she tastefully clothes a woman through spirited colors, delicate fabrics and womanly draping, Alberta Ferretti is ready to spread magical designer dust for Macy’s contemporary fashion brand Impulse.
The collection will stay true to the pillars of Ferretti’s aesthetic. “The collection I created is fresh and bright, featuring light summer clothing that evokes the spirit of my beautiful country and is at the same time true to my style,” says Ferretti.
She also drew inspiration from her Italian heritage, translating the spirit of the Amalfi coast and the overall sophistication of the Italian lifestyle into a range of dresses, lightweight pants, blouses and knitwear.
If her Spring/Summer 2012 collection is any indication of what we can expect from her capsule collection, we think that Ferretti’s collection for Macy’s Impulse will be a whirlwind of sensible and sophisticated success.
Fans need to wait two more months before they could snag a piece of Ferretti’s tasteful new collection. Before the designs hit 185 Macy’s stores nationwide on April 17, sneak a peek at our favorite looks from her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which we think carries the same laidback and breezy appeal she’s focusing on in her up-and-coming capsule collection.
