After stylishly covering fashion weeks for almost a month, the thought of flying to another destination can be a little unsettling. There is, however, one designer giving us another reason to book the first flight out of the city. Anna Sui, who is known for her culture- and history-bending design aesthetics, has partnered with travel bag manufacturer Tumi to create a four-piece lineup which includes a laptop case, a tote, a shoe bag and a carry-on bag.
The collection features the brand’s signature butterfly print silhouetted against a vibrant sea of purple. In an Elle article written by Tommye Fitzpatrick, Sui reveals that it was her admiration for Tumi travel bags that convinced her to jump on the opportunity that came along. “To combine their construction and quality with my unique design aesthetic I thought would be a great union. We are all thrilled with how the pieces turned out,” said Sui.
The travel bags, which first made an appearance on Anna Sui’s spring catwalk show, will be available in stores on March 15. Prices will range from $95 to $545.
