Although we have yet to see Azealia Banks’ September cover for Dazed and Confused, the curious cover is already gaining massive attention thanks to a puzzling tweet from the magazine. “Just been told our upcoming [Azealia Banks] cover has been banned from 7 countries so far. Thank God for the Internet, huh?,” posted the magazine early this morning.

The controversial cover reportedly shows the American rapper blowing into a pink condom, with the headline “Azealia Banks Blows Up.” We scoured the World Wide Web for a peek of this cover, but our great hunt has so far been a failure. As such, it will remain a scandalous phantom cover until it hits newsstands on August 16.

While a ban here and there is pretty common in the industry, we think this news has done the publication and Banks more good than otherwise. Why? For one, they just got easy and massive publicity. Besides, nothing drives fashion fans to the newsstands than the burgeoning desire to cure their curiosity. In fact, we’re itching to see the cover, assess just how lewd Banks got, and perhaps throw our two cents in if it truly deserved to be shunned by seven countries.
