Bound for Coachella
Posted by on April 15, 2012 | 11:30 am EST

Coachella may not carry the same global appeal as the notoriously popular Woodstock festival, but the two-weekend arts and music event still draw a massive crowd—a fashionable mob, that is. The first three-day weekend may have come and gone, but there’s still one more weekend to look forward to. With celebrities such as Kate Bosworth and style icons such as Alexa Chung having done the Coachella rounds in the past, the music and arts festival has indeed become another runway to take over.

Emilio Pucci | Lace-trimmed ribbed-knit cropped silk top | $695

With the massive crowd and the warm weather nipping at Coachella-goers’ toes, opt for looser and breezier garments such as this cropped silk top from Emilio Pucci. Look divinely bohemian by pairing this with a maxi skirt or denim shorts.

Day Birger et Mikkelsen | Paloma ombre silk-satin maxi dress | $320

Slip on this ombre maxi dress from Day Birger et Mikkelsen for an easy dose of festival coolness. Pile on the accessories for an extra oomph.

Textile Elizabeth and James | Zuma tie-dye cotton-blend jersey tank | $95

The laidback atmosphere of Coachella is the perfect avenue to bring out your loose tanks. This tie-dye jersey tank from Textile Elizabeth and James is one such piece, which goes with virtually anything.

Girl. by Band of Outsiders | Cleo crochet-knit shorts | $670

Nothing screams bohemia-cool than a pair of crochet-knit shorts. This breezy and dip-dyed pair from Girl. by Band of Outsiders captures rustic elegance without trying too hard.

Willow | Printed silk-chiffon maxi skirt | $795

Maxi skirts are a no-brainer choice for avid festival-goers. This light and breezy maxi skirt from Willow affords a healthy dose of sophistication without straying too far from the laidback atmosphere that prevails in the festival.

Michael Kors | Santorini woven raffia crossbody bag | $495

A spacious cross-body bag is a Coachella must. This woven raffia bag from Michael Kors lets you stash your essentials for the day-to-night music fest. Its cross-body strap is also perfect for festival-goers who dart from one stage to another.

Eugenia Kim | Honey metallic-striped toyo and cotton-blend sunhat | $285

A wide-brimmed sunhat is a must in every open-air event and Coachella is no exception. Nab this cotton-blend sunhat from Eugenia Kim to keep the sun at bay.

Chloé | Studded leather ankle boots | $1,290

Coachella is not the time to sport your favorite stilettos, while open-toed sandals put your pretty toes in danger of being stepped on. As such, a pair of uber-cool boots is the best option such as these Chloé leather ankle boots. We love the stud details on these three-buckled boots as well, which will easily stand out in a sea of boring boots.

Linda Farrow Luxe | D-frame tortoiseshell acetate sunglasses | $500

What is a trip to Coachella without the crucial sunglasses to complete your look? We’re particularly fond of D-frame pairs and these Linda Farrow Luxe sunglasses won us over.
