Candice Swanepoel stars in Brian Atwood's first-ever print campaign

After Rag & Bone’s Kate Moss-fronted campaign debut, Brian Atwood followed suit as he rolled out a preview of their first print advertising efforts. For their debut campaign, the shoe designer tapped Victoria’s Secret model and occasional high-fashion muse Candice Swanepoel. High-caliber photography talents Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were also brought in to capture the seriously sexy campaign, which was put under the creative direction of Giovanni Bianco.

Channeling the sexed up appeal of Atwood’s designs, the set appeared to have taken on the aesthetics of a wild nightclub or a sex siren’s private lair as a plush sofa, dim lighting and background groping converge to create one wild campaign image. Amid the upfront sexuality, Swanepoel looked perfectly comfortable and at home in a black corset and garter stockings as she modeled a pair of knee-high whip-stitched boots. With legs sprawled on the lap of a devious-looking male model, Swanepoel evoked the attitude of a take-charge vixen.

Although this is only a preview of Atwood’s first-ever foray into print advertising, we’re eagerly waiting to see the rest of the images. The designer’s sexual campaign has also churned out a series of short films hinged on the theme “the sex is in the heel” that will be launched on The Vault, an exclusive section on the label’s website.
