Cara Delevingne continues her fashion invasion, as she becomes the sixth cover star of i-D magazine’s The Wise Up issue. Photographed by Angelo Pennetta, the British model wore Stella McCartney on the cover and pulled off the publication’s infamous wink; with a little help from a creepy little—or not—tarantula. Perhaps channeling Delevingne’s magnetic personality, Cathy Kasterine styled her in bright, printed, patterned pieces from Erdem, Preen, House of Holland and Just Cavalli, to name a few.
The editorial shoot, titled Go to Sleep Things Will be Better In the Morning, finds Delevingne posing at the London Zoo with a group of relatively tame and dangerously unpredictable animals. With neon orange-rimmed eyes and disheveled hair, Delevingne is photographed in one editorial stoically standing tall beside a giraffe. Another picture of the model features her down on one knee, touching a Komodo dragon.
Although the editorial was pretty deadpan, there were some light-hearted moments caught on film as well. Delevingne’s stare down with an owl was particularly adorable. Taking the cake however, is a smiling Delevingne who slipped into her own tiger suit. How do you like the strong-browed model’s shoot for i-D magazine?
