Months of guesses and speculations are inching closer to an end as Carine Roitfeld unveiled the first image from her eagerly-awaited child, CR Fashion Book. After teasing the fashion public with a close-up shot of a model with a bandaged nose and a mock-up spread, the former Vogue editor has finally showed a more concrete telling of CR Fashion Book’s editorial slant.
The image, which appears as an animated GIF on CRFashionbook.com, features Dutch model Juliet Ingleby sauntering along a paved walkway in a cemetery. Draped in a long and sheer purple veil that billowed to the rhythm of the zephyr, Ingleby is photographed wearing nothing but a pair of red heels. While holding onto a scarlet bag, Ingleby is escorted by three models clad in leather from head to toe. The creepy image was shot by Sebastian Faena and styled by Roitfeld.
The premiere issue will officially hit newsstands on September 13. Eager Roitfeld aficionados however, can pre-order their digital copy for $5. The semi-annual title’s print copy will retail for $15.
