The weather is getting warmer by the day, signaling the arrival of summer season. Chanel is keeping up with the quick-changing seasons as they reveal their warm and inviting Summer 2012 collection called Summertime de Chanel. While women are busy preparing for their packed summer schedule, Chanel burned the midnight oil to create this seven-piece lineup for the face, eyes, nails and lips, all fashioned to bring out the sun goddess in every woman.
Leading the exciting new collection is the Soleil Tan De Chanel ($60) a luminous bronzing powder available in two color palettes—Sable Beige and Sable Rose. Each compact is comprised of seven unique shades, which delicately contours the face while lending a warmth and luminous gold shimmer just right for summer. According to Chanel, the shades can be used individually or blended together to attain the “natural glow of sunbathed skin.”
For the eyes, Chanel rolled out a limited edition Ombres Contraste duo ($42) in shades of Sable and Emouvant. The light shade is a creamy powder, which has a glowing finish to it that allows it to be used on its own. The darker shade, on the other hand, is perfect for deeper colors and contouring. The brand’s Le Crayon Khol ($28), an intense eye pencil, also saw a new shade for the summer in the form of Peche Cuivre—a coppery peach tone. Meanwhile, Chanel’s Le Crayon Yeux ($29), a precision eye definer, welcomed the Brun Intense, a deep brown hue that yields a subtle yet dramatic look.
Three summery shades were added to Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine ($32.50) line, namely En Vogue, Empreinte and Royallieu. The Levres Scintillantes or glossimer ($29.50), saw the arrival of the Sirocco Beige and Calypso Coral shades to evoke the spirit of summer. Nails weren’t spared from this summer overhaul, with limited edition Le Vernis ($26) called Island, Delight and Holiday completing the new lineup.
