Move over, Tyra Banks for there’s an even bigger modeling competition coming around and one of the world’s most recognizable supermodels—Naomi Campbell—is calling it home. After the thrilling announcement in May that Campbell will indirectly return to fashion via new modeling competition The Face comes even more exciting news. Canadian stunner Coco Rocha and Czech bombshell Karolina Kurkova have officially signed on as model mentors, joining Campbell in looking for the country’s next “face.”
Model and social media maven Rocha took to Tumblr to announce her latest project. “I am thrilled to be able to reveal that Karolina Kurkova and I are joining Naomi Campbell as the other two model coaches on Oxygen’s highly-anticipated new show “The Face,” writes Rocha.
The Face will see aspiring models “challenged and mentored” by the world’s most successful supermodels. Part of their duties will be to introduce the hopeful models to photographers, stylists and designers in fashion. According to Rocha, their role will be to scout and build their own teams “before guiding them through assignments which include photoshoots, runway shows and commercials for some of America’s best-known brands.” The Face, which is scheduled to air in 2013, will be hosted by Nigel Barker.
