Elizabeth Arden’s series of Green Tea fragrances, which was first launched in 1999, has been a cult favorite of many for its refreshing and energizing scent. Every year since 2008, Elizabeth Arden has been releasing follow-up variants to this notoriously popular scent. First to arrive was the Green Tea Lotus in 2008, followed by Green Tea Exotic in 2009, Green Tea Lavender in 2010 and Green Tea Camellia in 2011. This year, an exciting new addition to the well-received fragrance is the Green Tea Cherry Blossom.
Described as ethereal, fresh and feminine, the scent captures the sheer beauty and delicateness of cherry blossoms. The new fragrance, which bears the same freshness of the original scent, has top notes of Bergamot, Meyer Lemon, Tangerine, Orange Trees, Green Tea Vapor and Sweet Almond. Sitting in the middle are hints of Cherry Blossom Tree ScentTrekTM, Ume Plum, Apricot, Chinese Peony and Green Tea Leaves. Meanwhile, White Birch, Moss, Skin Musks, Heliotrope and White Lily serve as the base notes.
With such effeminate notes and name, the brand took these to heart in packaging the new fragrance. Carrying the signature flacon that has made the Green Tea series famous, the new scent comes in a dainty pink-colored bottle adorned with white cherry blossoms. Equally romantic is the box, which celebrates the freshness of its inspiration by setting the pinks of the cherry blossoms against the iconic shades of the Green Tea series.
The Green Tea Cherry Blossom fragrance is available in 50 and 100mL bottles, retailing for $29.50 and $39.50, respectively. A moisturizing body cream is also sold at $19.50.
