Burberry’s spring campaign stars Cara Delevingne and Eddie Redmayne are officially passing on the torch to Gabriella Wilde and Roo Panes, the new duo to front British luxury brand’s Fall campaign. Creative director Christopher Bailey has indeed mastered the art of handpicking only the most promising young faces of today, with Wilde having just been cast in a remake of Stephen King’s Carrie and Panes having recorded a song for the brand’s campaign soundtrack.
Centered on the brand’s British heritage, Wilde and Panes were photographed by Mario Testino in the streets of Greenwich, London while donning the label’s iconic trench. The fog-filled streets lend a glorious gloominess that was refreshingly captivating. “We wanted to play with everything that’s at the heart of the Burberry world – celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way,” explained Bailey.
The breathtaking campaign, rolling out on June 1, will also harness the wonders of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram and Pinterest. The soundtrack will descend on iTunes on the same day. Individuals can also purchase an item through a gallery and a series of short films that will be available on the Burberry website.
