Jessica Biel is one of Hollywood’s leading ladies that nonchalantly cruise by when it comes to style. Although she’s anything but drab when she’s in the spotlight, her looks are often decidedly lackluster, pushing her away from many style radars. However, the star has been on a surprising streak of admirable adventurism and sartorial successes lately, a fact that even we at Fashion Glamour had to commend.
Looking at Biel’s string of red carpet appearances, we unraveled a seemingly formulaic way to how the 30-year-old tackles press junkets, awards show and more. We plucked out three looks Biel has been seen in for the past two months, which unlock the secret to her string of styling successes. While we’d like Biel to venture off from her go-to look, which sees her in white dress and a striking pair of shoes, as it seems too methodical and devoid of sartorial risks, we’re giving a temporary reprieve. She is, in fact, getting married soon. This could well be the reason behind her strong affinity to the pristine hue lately.
Early this June, Biel graced the 2012 MTV Movie Awards red carpet in a fashion-forward mini dress from Chanel and a pair of color-blocked sandals from Barbara Bui. Although fashion critics were not too happy with the puffy sleeves saying it added bulk to Biel’s toned arms, it began Biel’s three-peat white dress-and-bright-shoes combination.
Just four days ago, Biel employed the same formula for her 2012 ESPY Awards appearance. Clad in a white Christian Dior dress, she again anchored her outfit on a show-stopping pair of pumps. This look earned countless raves for the Total Recall actress, dubbing her retro-inspired look a true scene-stealer.
Perhaps realizing the easy stylishness a white dress yields, Biel turned up at the Comic-Con press conference of Total Recall alongside co-star Kate Beckinsale in yet again a stunning summer white ensemble. This time around, Biel played around with separates, pairing a Thierry Mugler pencil skirt with a Joe’s Jeans shirt. True to her winning style code, Biel slipped into a pair of electric pink pumps from Brian Atwood. Similar to her previous looks, the pop of color helped her ensemble move away from looking like a bridal-inspired bore.
