We haven’t seen the last of the editorial shake-ups. Following her departure from Elle a few months ago, talks were quick to spread as to where Kate Lanphear will next lend her creative ideas to.
We’re putting an end to these speculations now that the blonde personality finally signed on as style director at T magazine.
Fashion journalist Jim Shi confirmed the good news by tweeting, “Kate Lanphear has joined T: The New York Times Style Magazine as style director. She’ll be at the upcoming women’s shows with Team T.”
Other sources added that Lanphear will be seated next to newly-appointed T editor in chief Deborah Needleman (former WSJ editor) at New York Fashion Week this February.
Before she landed the style director position at T, Lanphear previously applied for the editor in chief spot, but unfortunately lost to, well, Needleman.
We’re sure last year’s editorial changes will continue well within the first quarter of 2013. In the meantime, we’re more than satisfied about Lanphear’s new job. What do you think will the daring fashion editor bring to T magazine?
