Four years after Lanvin released its beloved Jean Lanvin fragrance, the French fashion house is returning in full olfactory force as Jean Lanvin Couture hits stores today. A stunning reinterpretation of the young and fruity Jean Lanvin scent, the new fragrance is reportedly more feminine and sensual, targeting women aged 25 and up.
Although the two still share the same raspberry note, the Couture scent is definitely more grown-up with peony flowers and magnolia essences carrying the torch of sensuality. Violet leaves, musk and wood are also present in the fragrance, which perfectly converge under the delectable raspberry accords.
Further setting the new scent apart from the younger Jean Lanvin is the packaging. The label bottled the Couture fragrance in a simple but sophisticated purple flacon with a dainty purple bow around the neck.
Fronted by Juju Ivanyuk, the campaign for the fragrance has also arrived in magazines and websites. In contrast to the original scent’s sweetly pink campaign, photographers Sofia Sanchez and Maurio Mongeillo turned to the refinement of black and white imagery to evoke the poised maturity of Couture.
The four-year gap between the original Jean Lanvin scent and the Couture version must have driven women ecstatic and excited for this news. There is however, one catch: Jean Lanvin Couture will not be released in the US. Then again, whoever stopped women from a desirable shopping item? There are two ways to go about this dilemma: fly to Paris or shop online.
