Lara Stone stars in British Vogue’s ‘Dark Blooms’ editorial

Eternal Calvin Klein girl Lara Stone is an ethereal beauty in Vogue UK’s fashion editorial called Dark Blooms. Photographed by Ryan McGinley, the fashion spread was shot on location in the woodlands of Oxfordshire, where a scene of trees and creeks served as Stone’s backdrop.

Styled by Francesa Burns, Stone’s looks were grounded on a feeling of unrefined and unspoiled beauty. Stone’s Twiggy-like eyes and barely styled hair complemented the relaxed sensuality of the creative. Bannering the winter florals that made waves on the fall/winter catwalks, Stone is captured in a variety of frocks carrying floral prints, appliqués and voluminous petal-like detailing.

The editorial began with an eerie-yet-enthralling photograph of Stone perched on a tree wearing a garment from Dolce & Gabbana, ignoring the mossy waters sitting still below her. In another image, the blonde beauty is captured twirling a printed green dress with magnificent greeneries behind her. Another stunning image features her down on her knees in an Alexander McQueen dress.

Lending a more stunning finish to the editorial is the golden glow of the morning sun, which somehow contests the “darkness” that the title suggests. Nevertheless, we hope this lovely editorial promises a string of equally beautiful fashion editorials from other fashion magazines this September.
