Contemporary Parisian label Maje booked Britain’s most enduring It girl, Alexa Chung, for its Fall 2012 campaign. Chung, who has previously been the face of Superga and Pepe Jeans to name a few, replaces Vanessa Traina for the job. On Chung’s selection as the new face of Maje, the brand said that it’s her elegance and edge that won them over. “Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock n’ roll,” said Maje in a statement.
With a chicly tousled hair and a fixed gaze, Chung elegantly channeled the Sixties film heroine theme. Photographed by Glen Luchford at the Portes des Lilas subway station in Paris, the black-and-white images has so far featured moody head shots of Chung, but we’re hoping for more variety as the campaign hits the pages of magazines in September.
