The time has come to list the best and worst of 2012–so far. Not only is this a tradition in the entertainment industry, but in fashion as well. Even before these long lists take over the final days of the year, Bing has already kicked it off with its own year-end list.
With hundreds, or maybe even thousands, of designers in the world, it was American fashion designer Michael Kors– beating 2011′s Gucci– who claimed the top spot as Bing’s most searched fashion designer of 2012. You can’t argue with the result.
For one, Kors earned numerous achievements this year. One of them was when First Lady Michelle Obama wore one of his dresses at President Barack Obama’s victory party. Kors’ eight-year stint as a judge on reality TV program Project Runway has been an amazing platform for the designer as well, especially with the show still receiving a lot of attention all over the world. Who could ever forget the time he commented, “She’s like a mother of the bride who’s a belly dancer” and “The dress is just sadness personified”?
Following Kors were Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, Chanel, Prada, Juicy Couture, Burberry and Tory Burch, respectively. With the most searched fashion designer revealed, we wonder who among this year’s roster of top models will claim the similar recognition—Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne or Miranda Kerr?
Congratulations, Michael Kors!
