Doe-eyed beauty Mila Kunis is lending her face anew to Christian Dior after starring in last season’s Miss Dior campaign. Far from the ethereal shots of the handbag line’s spring/summer campaign, Kunis harnesses her piercing gaze and camera-ready face for the seriously sophisticated black-and-white Fall campaign themed around the glamour of the 1950’s era.
Shot in Los Angeles, veteran fashion lensman Mario Sorrenti directed the photo shoot, with the styling help of Carine Roitfeld. The team upped the the glamour ante as Kunis is styled as a stunning Hollywood icon from the past complete with a bouffant hairstyle and a Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis-like wardrobe. One image shows Kunis in a balcony, seemingly waving to a crowd awaiting her appearance while a throng of paparazzi snap away beside her. Another shot features the young actress embracing the limelight, fixing her eyes onto the camera.
The chic campaign will first break in Elle Hong Kong’s August issue, which is due to be released on July 21. Other fashion glossies will carry the stunning campaign in their September issues. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Dior is planning to unveil behind-the-scenes footages and images from the campaign on its Miss Dior website.
