Italian label Moschino Cheap and Chic was all about utmost fun and femininity, unveiling their Fall offering called “Make Up Your Life”. From the deep black and grays that have dominated the Fall runways, the brand trekked a more vibrant road, opting for an ice cream-hued lineup of dreaminess courtesy of 1960’s-inspired ensembles, a barrage of prints and ladylike appeal.

The color palette was a refreshing mix of pinks, blues and yellows. A rainbow fur coat and color-blocked orange and tan knit dress stood out. Textures were as diverse as the color palette, made possible with the different fabrics utilized.

The generally soft silhouettes were toughened up with green military jackets and coats. A structured blue jacket decorated with zippers on the sleeve and collar over a flirty pink dress also caught our attention.

The brand has always been noted for their attention to detail. With that, an assembly of prints also livened up the runway. In line with the collection’s beauty theme, makeup pots and lipstick made its way onto blouses, dresses and skirts. Slogans such as “make up your life” on the front and back of blouses also made a statement on the runway. Strategically placed sequins also added glimmer to the runway. A green long-sleeved blouse, for instance, featured black sequins on top that dispersed downward—an effect that was worth the marvel. A single moustache sequined pattern on a lip-printed dress added a burst of quirkiness.

It seems the Moschino Cheap & Chic woman will have a lot of options to go through, with each piece in the collection teeming with endless versatility. Although deeply fixated on the effeminate qualities of clothes, we see the candy-colored lineup lighting up every high society women’s wardrobe the second Fall arrives.
