Mulberry releases the Bryn, this season’s potential It bag

British luxury label Mulberry is really living up to its reputation as the purveyor of It bags, as they introduce the Bryn bag—a new design inspired by the label’s Brynmore men’s satchel. The new collection, which departs from the notorious popularity of the slouchy Alexa bag, offers a refreshing sense of structure with its boxy shape. Similar to the label’s affinity for functionality, the Bryn bag comes with a chic top handle to carry by hand and a long strap fit for slinging on the shoulder.

While Chanel has its interlocking C’s to serve as their global emblem, Mulberry has always opted for subtlety. The brand’s signature postman’s lock, as always, is front and center in the new Bryn bag. For this new design, the English label affixed three vertically lined locks that scream Mulberry. The minimalism of the design pays homage to the brand’s affinity for everyday sensibility.

Although the Bryn bag differs with the Alexa bag, Mulberry has again succeeded in churning out another covetable design. It may not overtake the Alexa bag’s popularity, but that pipe dream can change for the better since style icon Keira Knightley and forever cool-girl Alexa Chung have already been spotted toting the Bryn bag in various occasions.

The Bryn bag arrives in black, petrol, flame and oak. The brand will also be churning out the bag in two sizes, with the large version going for $1,200 and the small ones at $950.  The collection is available at the Mulberry website.
