With this year’s Fashion’s Night Out celebrations coinciding with the start of New York Fashion Week, September 6 proved to be one of the most stylish days of the year. While runway shows have been hogging the entire fashion spotlight, we’re taking a breather from all the fashion week action and remember all the style that went down on Thursday. With the US and 18 other countries celebrating FNO, it’s almost an impossibility to truly wow when everyone else is just as fashion-forward. Then again, some FNO participants did what we thought was unimaginable and effortlessly stood out in a sea of a thousand shoppers.
At the Jeffrey New York event, Jessica Chastain looked like a superhero ready to take on the night. Dressed in an edgy Jason Wu leather dress in blue and black, Chastain surely was the event’s most stunning fixture. Girls actress Allison Williams, is another stylish FNO attendee, gracing the Diane von Furstenberg store clad in a black peplum dress that had a swirl of pink floral-like prints. Model Karolina Kurkova was also out and about on Thursday night, arriving at the Bagatelle with oxblood lips and a refreshingly youthful ensemble. Lucy Hale and Kendall Jenner represented young Hollywood with sartorial appropriateness at the Beverly Center, while Kendra Wilkinson cleaned up nice and made us swoon in her modish black-and-white dress.
While New York may be the heart of FNO, London was feeling the electrifying FNO energy thousands of miles away. Laura Bailey and Daisy Lowe were the two who delivered glorious knockout looks that screamed with British coolness at Mulberry’s London store festivities. Lowe arrived at the store in a flirty purple dress teamed with a low-cut top, while Bailey was trendy in a print-on-print ensemble. Click through the slideshow above to see all the looks that made us forget about the thousand other shoppers clamoring for best dressed attention.
