Target really can’t go wrong with all the designers they’re tapping to collaborate with. Who’s next on the list you ask? This collaboration didn’t draw as much hype as previous partners such as Missoni or Proenza Schouler, but it’s a name we’re all too familiar with. Prabal Gurung, who launched his label four years ago, is proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the industry as he readies for the launch of his collection with Target this February.
Speaking to A Bullseye View, Gurung said the collection is “inspired by a girl’s journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone—from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement.” Gurung’s description of his collection sounds like it’s still rooted on his love for prints and graphics, don’t you think?
This 80-piece collection, consisting of clothes, bags, jewelry and shoes, may be all about affordability—ranging from $12.99 to $199.99—but it is no way disjointed from his love for luxury and quality. “So I worked side-by-side with Target to create the highest quality product at amazing prices. I think you’ll be impressed with the level of quality in the collection,” said Gurung.
Fans may have to wait for four months before they get their hands on one of the pieces, but with such a solid design history backing him up, we say the Prabal Gurung for Target collection is worth the wait. Stay tuned for more updates about this collaboration.
