Prada's updated 'hunting bags'

Be still, Prada-loving fashion nuts for the Italian fashion house’s latest handbag offering is arriving this month. Ever since Prada unveiled its latest handbag offering, a contemporary update of its Hunting Bag, we haven’t clocked in a decent number of hours’ worth of sleep until today, that is. The Italian fashion house’s new design brings together the functionality and casualness in five punchy colors—red, orange, blue, purple and black.

Prada’s new range of bags may be free of glamorous embellishments, but the color alone more than make up for what is lacking in frills. The bag comes with a flap closure, two buckles at the front, and the label’s signature triangle logo. Although its design was inspired from the brand’s hunting bag, the updated piece carries an aesthetic that is everything but outdoor-appropriate.

In fact, Fashion Glamour deems this bag more worthy of chic summer strolls than any other activity. Then again, since it arrives in Saffiano Vernice leather, which is made to be water- and scratch-resistant, one has to look into the possibility of these Prada shoulder bags becoming a covetable designer beater bag.

Already dubbed as the bag of summer, each piece retails for $1,595 and will be available in select stores in the US, United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong.
