Emerging Hollywood talents attended the 14th Annual Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday night to recognize the outstanding work of who will perhaps be tomorrow’s most important thespians. More than a celebration of their onscreen gift, the red carpet also served as a springboard for their future sartorial successes. For the women attendees, it was a show of stylishness in black and white as Ginnifer Goodwin, Ashley Greene, Hailee Steinfeld and Sophia Bush all donned black and white to the event.
First to earn top style marks at the event was the porcelain-skinned Goodwin—and Style Icon awardee. Her lace-y Monique Lhuillier dress looked every bit the romantic that is her Once Upon A Time character, which she paired with pointy black heels.
Greene, who hosted and won the Superstar of Tomorrow accolade, stood out in an all-black ensemble by Donna Karan. She paired her sequin-detailed black top with a sleek trouser that grazed her ankles, perfectly showing off her black peep-toe pumps.
One of young Hollywood’s most promising actresses, 15-year-old Hailee Steinfeld, stunned in a gorgeous ivory ensemble from Prabal Gurung. The lavish embellishments on the sleeveless top paired with the sleek pants yielded a look that was refreshingly sophisticated. Steinfeld’s sleek and chic look earned her a nod as one fashion darling in-the-making.
The night’s fashion successes were divided between those who wore either black or white, but Sophia Bush put the two together for a chevron-printed frock from Herve Leger. Bush, who was recognized for her efforts in helping the environment and standing for human rights, won the Philanthropy Award.
