“One day you’re in and the next day, you’re out.” This infamous line can always be heard on the hit fashion reality show Project Runway and this, at the moment, is the best statement to describe what happened to Rachel Zoe.
Without being sarcastic, we at Fashion Glamour admire her Spring 2013 collection for its sophistication, but it appeared that it wasn’t enough for Saks Fifth Avenue to keep it in their B&M retail space.
A representative from Saks Fifth Avenue verified the news, but also mentioned that the Rachel Zoe Collection will still be exclusively sold online.
Selfridges also dropped her ready-to-wear line in September, prompting various media outlets to reveal that the celebrity stylist’s label is also in trouble at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.
Is this the end of the road for the 41-year-old stylist-turned-designer? Well, it’s highly unlikely since Zoe still has a credible roster of A-List stars who wear her designs such as Naomi Campbell, Julianne Hough and Jessica Alba.
Besides, her reality TV show will run for another season, giving her ample time to get her fashion act together and convince critics that she’s just as capable of designing as she is styling celebrities.
