Although a spectacle of colors is a spring and summer norm, the new season will be bannering the age-old adage “less is more.” From the Suno show to the Prabal Gurung spectacle, designers held back on the color and went for unfussy looks that were all about enhancing women’s natural beauty.
Eyes were brought out by a light dusting of neutral eyeshadow, while a set of curled lashes reigned on the DKNY runway. Pink and bronze cheeks were also favored for its modern-yet-wearable finish, which made waves on the Victoria Beckham and Derek Lam shows. While stained lips resonated on the catwalk, other designers relied on the effortlessness of a lip gloss.
