Stars light up the streets of New York as The Little Black Jacket exhibit opens

As the rain drenched the pavements of 10 Wooster Street on June 6, so did a bevy of chicly dressed stars. The gloomy weather may haven’t done any favor in keeping the attendees warm and dry, but it surely did not hamper the glorious mood during the opening of The Little Black Jacket exhibit at the Swiss Institute in New York.

The pseudo parents of the book and exhibit, Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld, led the guests into a bare and subdued space reminiscent of the immaculate black and white photography that ruled the book. The huge turnout included Karolina Kurkova, Lily Collins, Pharrell Williams, Joan Smalls, Olivier Theyskens, Lindsey Wixson, Jessica Hart, Lily Donaldson, Penn Badgley, Linda Evangelista, Zoe Kravitz and Freja Beha Rrichsen, among others.

The exhibit floor was decked with all of the 113 photos included in the book, which were blown up and set against wide and imposing walls. The exhibit, which arrived first in Tokyo, will be open to the public from June 8 to 15.
