Hollywood is buzzing with excitement as reports trickle in that Kate Bosworth is officially engaged to her director-boyfriend Michael Polish. Bosworth herself made the announcement, though we’re not sure if calling Polish her fiancé in a Vogue travel diary was intentional or a simple text blunder. “On our first day in Seoul, my fiancé, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace,” read Bosworth’s post.
Real or not, we’re nothing short of pleased to have one of Hollywood and fashion’s most beautiful ladies bound for marital bliss, for ogling at celebrity weddings dresses is another Fashion Glamour obsession. As such, we couldn’t help but look back at how far she has gone in the business since she first starred in her breakout movie Blue Crush. Besides the movie catapulting her well within the Hollywood radar, Blue Crush also showed off her made-for-fashion physique.
Even as she was starting to gain Hollywood traction, the blonde beauty was already hinting at her potential as a style icon with her natural flair for dressing up and unperturbed class on the red carpet. Although Bosworth was often clad in feminine minis and frilly frocks that played up her incredibly angelic face and effortless glamour, she eventually acquired the knack for wardrobe surprises.
While her California girl style reigns supreme, she can also be a breath of fresh air on the red carpet with her surprising ensembles. She can be a kaleidoscope of style adjectives—girly, edgy, bohemian or glamorous—but Bosworth always brings her stellar classiness on and off the red carpet. The same goes for her off-duty looks, which continue to be a spectacle wherever she goes. Bosworth may play it down with simple denim cut-offs and maxi skirts, but there are in no way less stylish as her on-camera persona.
