The spring 2013 runways were chockfull of sun-kissed makeup looks that bannered the laidback and breeziness of the season, but typical of fashion, the catwalk shows weren’t without several surprises that turned up the drama—think ghoulish eyes and electrocuted hair. Such flamboyance isn’t really a good fit for spring, but we’re pretty resourceful over here at Fashion Glamour as we realized that some of the looks are shoo-ins for many fashionable ladies’ beauty inspirations for the approaching Halloween.
One of the beauty looks that really caught our attention was the bloody eye makeup that models on the Gareth Pugh catwalk wore. Gorgeous and gory, it makes for an easy way to look the part this Halloween without all the shopping effort. For the women who want to look more pretty than scary, then Christian Dior’s bejeweled eyes are great inspiration. It has hints of Black Swan too, which would be perfect if you want to go as that character but fear the idea of looking like everyone else.
Other worthy looks include the 1980′s inspired beauties on the Jean Paul Gaultier runways, the Geisha-looking models at Tsumori Chisato and the hair-raising, face-painted models parading down the Vivienne Westwood runway.
Halloween is that one night in the year where everyone can be anyone for a day and no one will care how you like. These spring beauty looks may not be easy on the eyes on a normal day, but since it’s Halloween we’re talking about, feel free to click through the slideshow for some of the most inspiring—and shocking—beauty looks you never think you’d see on the runways.
