Imagined by Maria Razia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, Valentino’s new fragrance is—simply put—a celebration of feminine ideals. Amid the arresting contradictions of old world aesthetics and modern extravagances sleeping within the city of Rome, the perfume captures the Valentino woman’s beauty, grace and uniqueness in a perfume called Valentina.
Intensely classy and modern, a bouquet of Calabrian bergamot and white Alba truffles serve as the top notes, while jasmine, Amalfi orange blossom, tuberose and wild strawberry rest at the heart of Valentina. Base notes of cedar wood and amber collide for a sensual finish.
The bottle captures the same refinement that Chiuri and Piccioli strived for in the fragrance albeit only aesthetically. Three nude, white and ivory flowers—emblems of Valentino couture—adorn the round Valentina bottle. The black pearl set against the silver ring is a cool touch of danger to the perfume’s chic packaging.
Dropping in Valentino, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Saks and Nordstrom stores today, the Valentina range also includes a shower gel, body oil spray and lotion.
