Who knew we would one day associate scallop edges, clouds, pink and cats with Victoria Beckham?

The always posh and polished style maven is leaping away from her main line’s often moody and brooding looks with the release of a sister line at Harvey Nichols, simply called Victoria, Victoria Beckham. A refreshing contrast to the designer’s persona, the new label is casual and cool, words that are seemingly alien to the former Spice Girl’s edgy taste.

“This new line serves to channel my inner girl—it is fun and young with a distinct sense of humor. The Victoria range can’t help but make you smile with its energy and personality,” says Beckham in the Harvey Nichols website. The new label is also more affordable than Beckham’s main line, with prices ranging from £395 to £800.

Even before its launch, the collection was already enjoying massive exposure and appreciation courtesy of Michelle Williams and Beckham herself who wore the dress with a scallop-trimmed neck. That particular number, available in spring crepe, vibrant pink and black, is reportedly the first to sell out at Harvey Nichols. The clamor has driven supply low, as waiting lists lengthen by the hour for some of the pieces.

Besides being superbly adorable, Beckham gets it right by tailoring the pieces in a way that a woman of whatever size can wear her dress and look chic with utter ease. More importantly, the collection is a celebration of the designer’s penchant for tasteful clothing, whatever hue or figure it may be.

Before we dash out the door, we highlight our most favored dresses.

This creamy innocent number earns our approval for being the perfect dress to get unimaginatively wild and creative in accessory choices.

Cloud prints on a dress? Yes. This heavenly sleeveless dress affords a preppy but cool vibe, ideal for daytime dressing.

We’re seeing a lot of designers use cats in their collection this year, one of them being Jason Wu. The classic polka dot dress gets a charming makeover in this catty number.

This simple red dress exudes the right amount fire to carry the dresser from day to night with the right accessory editing.

Here’s a fabulous dress that commands maximum attention by easily employing two things: a pop of color and a simple silhouette.
