The nation may be anticipating President Barack Obama’s speech during Inauguration Day on January 21, but we at Fashion Glamour are more interested in what Michelle Obama will wear.
In 2008, it was Jason Wu whom the First Lady picked to design her white one-shouldered gown that stunned the fashion nation. Now that the special day is happening again, we wonder if the First Lady will remain loyal to Wu or explore her other sartorial options. Thankfully, a list of designers rumored to have been asked to send samples for Mrs. Obama were revealed online.
Among the designers included in the rumor mill are Barbara Tfank, Bibhu Mohaptra, Derek Lam, Laura Smalls, Marchesa, Michael Kors, Naeem Khan, Narciso Rodriguez, Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch, Tracy Reese, Zero + Maria Cornejo, and Thakoon. Although we’ll never know until the day of inauguration which designer she chooses, we’re already reeling with excitement.
All of these are designers are no strangers to creating memorable dresses, making it such a terribly tough decision for Mrs. Obama. We, however, are betting on Marchesa or Narciso Rodriguez. Who are you rooting for?
