 Gucci's woven leather boots

As we inch closer to the beloved summer, boots are perhaps the last thing on women’s shopping list. With an arsenal of adorable thongs, bedazzled sandals and comfortable ballerina flats available this season, who would want to slip one’s feet inside a potentially-claustrophobic pair of boots? Well, Gucci does. Fashion Glamour zeroed in on the luxury label’s hand-woven leather boots that are supposed to add a spring of sexiness to the summer season.

From the age-old stigma that boots are best reserved for the dreaded winter, designers have found a way to make these pairs look good even during the warm weather months. For Gucci, it was all about leaving the harshness of black leather and opting for a more summer-appropriate camel-hued leather. The hand-woven detail moved the pair further into absolute summer territory, lending a finish that is all sorts of charming especially when paired with leg-baring bottoms.

While the pair basks in its hand-woven finish, the lace-up front and concealed zip fastening at the back of the boots also helped propel the pair to summer perfection. Although it has a commanding 4.5-inch heels that inconspicuously beg for nighttime outings, we deem Gucci’s woven leather boots more fitting for chic daytime brunches or strolls. Admittedly, the intricate hand-woven detail is glorious. However, it does exude a picnic basket-like appeal that fall shorts in sophistication and refinement. That however, does not make these shoes any less stylish. In fact, we adore Gucci’s effort to inconspicuously bring the countrified charm of the hand-woven detail and the urban finesse of knee-high boots into one glorious pair.

These woven leather boots retail for $3,750 at Net-a-Porter.
