Silk long dresses from Tibi

Color-blocking is one spring trend that has been executed far too many times. With that, the ubiquity of this look has the tendency to look overrated, overdone and exaggerated. That however, was not the case when Fashion Glamour spotted these color-blocked dresses from Tibi. Although it only arrives in two color ways—sand and orange—there is a refreshing air of simplicity exuding from these long gowns that blew us away.

Upfront, the silhouette is basic and fuss-free, with the color-blocked waist emphasizing the empire detail. We love the chic color combinations that the label chose; black against sand, and pink against orange. One channels subtlety while the other evokes the true spring spirit—loud and in-your-face. Although similar in everything but color, we love how Tibi managed to create a design that can be worn by women with either a slant for subtlety or a fascination for flamboyance.

The uneven hem trend, which has been making big waves this season, was successfully incorporated as well. To keep these ensembles appropriate for chic evening affairs, the label kept the high-low detail relatively tame. With just the ankle peeking through the hem, this dress is still every bit worthy of formal outings.

The back detail is just as stylish as well. The deep open back on these silk sleeveless long gowns offered a sultry departure from the modesty raging at the front. A perfect symmetry of modesty and sultriness, these Tibi gowns are truly everything we’ve been wanting from a spring-perfect gown.
