Zac Posen is temporarily diverting his attention away from designing clothes to another fashion-related field. The 32-year-old fashion has been tapped to replace Michael Kors on the 11th season of Project Runway.
For 10 seasons, Kors spiced up the program with his remarkable comments, but his busy schedule proved too much to handle as he bows out of the show’s upcoming season.
Posen, who will be sitting next to Marie Claire creative director Nina Garcia and host Heidi Klum, expressed his enthusiasm about this judging stint. The designer posted on Twitter, “So excited to be the new judge on @ProjectRunway Season 11!! Joining @heidiklum @ninagarcia and @TimGunn.”
Certainly, the presence of Kors will be missed, but according to some reports, the former judge will come back on the program as a guest judge in the final episode.
Other personalities slated to serve as guest judges include Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler, Emmy Rossum, Kristin Davis, and Project Runway alumni Christian Siriano.
While everyone—us included—are eager to see Posen judge up-and-coming designers, we still have to wait until January 24 before catching a glimpse of the designer on TV. How do you think will this play out for Posen and the show?
